History

Originally formed in 1978 Baseball Association Townsville has evolved in leaps and bounds to become what we are today. Originally named Townsville Baseball Association the competition was played at Cutheringa Park in West End before becoming Baseball Association of Townsville and Thuringowa and moving the operations to Jabiru Park in Condon. As time went on and Townsville and Thuringowa became one, in 2015 the Association made the decision to simplify our name and be known as Baseball Association Townsville (BAT). Over the years we have played part in fostering a range of great talents and seeing our players represent Townsville at a State, National and International Level. We work closely with our counterparts at North Queensland Baseball and Baseball Queensland to ensure the greatest opportunities are available for our players and volunteers. In 2016 we become the main organisers of the Junior Baseball competition in Townsville as well as our Senior Competition.
